Jens Benöhr is a Chilean anthropologist and kayaker based at the mouth of the Biobio River. Dedicated to environmental education and communication, he currently serves as the editor for Revista Endémico. Jens is also a co-founder of Bestias del Sur Salvaje, a collective of outdoor sports athletes focused on empowering communities for river conservation through kayaking and rafting. Additionally, he works as the Environmental Coordinator for Patagonia Chile, actively participating in environmental activism campaigns and projects. Beyond these commitments, he takes simple joy in planting native trees on an island located just outside his riverfront abode.
