The recap of this year’s Students for Rivers Camp (SRC) on Peru’s Marañón River is finally here, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it. This was the first time we ran a two-week program, including an entire week spent descending the river together. Alongside the time on the water, participants took part in lectures and hands-on workshops led by scientists, community leaders, and river advocates creating space to connect knowledge with real-world experience and to initiate own river ideas. From learning in the field to engaging with local communities, it was an unforgettable journey that reminded us why free-flowing rivers matter. Learn more about the trip also in our StoryMap.
